ULI 5th Annual Impact Awards
Our hearts are swelling with pride this Valentine’s season over two ADG projects nominated for the ULI 5th Annual Impact Awards, just around the corner on the 15th!
We are tickled pink that 8th Street Church has been nominated in the Boutique Development Category. This historic renovation is already proving to be a sweet treat to its Midtown neighborhood in Oklahoma City. Here are just a few project memories that got us right in the feels:
Seeing the beautifully preserved stained glass the first time we walked into the church. It was originally donated in 1907 by Anton Classen – one of Oklahoma City’s founding fathers.
Finding the original finial and using it as a model to help replicate a steeple that had been missing for decades.
Participating in a very special “steeple signing” after the new replacement was created and installed over the summer.
Up next is a project that is sure to be a lifelong romance for Cleveland County residents. The Cleveland County Courthouse Complex Master Plan has been nominated in the Outstanding Public Initiative category. Three reasons we think cupid hit his mark on this project:
It creates an invigorated welcoming and walkable destination for residents – all centered around government services, new and old.
What a visionary perspective! Cleveland County is going beyond the typical bridges and roads projects to innovate for the present AND future.
These three major elements: a healthy living block, a parking garage, and courthouse renovations. The phase I healthy living block is about to start design – no sitting on the shelf for this Master Plan!
