Fencing has been placed to ensure visitor safety as repairs to the Tulsa County Courthouse exterior begin on Tuesday.
Tulsa County said a concrete pad is being poured on the week of Feb. 10 to support a large crane on the east side of the courthouse. Sidewalks and lanes will be closed along South Denver Avenue. One southbound lane of South Denver Avenue will be closed for the entirety of the project, which is expected to take two years. An additional lane will be closed for several days while the crane is assembled, starting the week of March 10. Two-way traffic will remain on South Denver Avenue with lane adjustments.
Tulsa County said the courthouse entrances along South Denver Avenue and the West 5th Street Plaza will remain open with slight variations to flow. A third entrance along West 6th Street will be opened in March.
