City Care Night Shelter

In 2021, City Care Night Shelter’s design and construction was completed to help bring a low-barrier safe sleeping space to Oklahoma City’s unsheltered homeless. Located two miles west of downtown Oklahoma City, the shelter embodies “housing-first” policies that will not only help keep people out of extreme elements but will also serve to connect them with resources and services that they may not have had access to before.

City Care Night shelter is a 12,000 square-feet facility that has 128 beds, family areas, pet kennel, storage units and bathrooms. The family area features four private rooms with bathrooms and beds as well as a communal area with a kitchen. Completed and constructed during the COVID-19 pandemic, City Care Night Shelter is equipped with a high-powered HVAC system and UV lighting to help prevent potential spread of viruses.

The shelter is located south of Northwest 10th and Villa Avenue at 532 N Villa Ave.
